Joseph Tolentino, Musical Director/Conductor

Recipient of the Presidential Music Award from President Bill Clinton, Joseph studied at the Manhattan School of Music and received high honors from the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music  & Art and Performing Arts. He is the resident Musical Director/Conductor of 9PO.

About 9PO

The orchestral affiliate of 9 Works Theatrical, 9PO was formed to cater to the growing demand for professional musicians in the Philippines. Strategically called 9PO, the ”P” stands for Philharmonic, Pit and/or Pop, and represents what 9PO is capable of servicing in terms of orchestral demand. 9PO is composed of professional musicians all trained in the fields of Classical, Modern, Post-Modern, Contemporary or Popular music -- from the sonorous tones of the acoustic to the high-energy flavors of the electric.

Currently training under the tutelage of Dr. Raul Sunico, Joseph started his education in music at the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City, where he received high honors. He also is the recipient of the Presidential Music Award accorded by President Bill Clinton.
